Product photography for Santos Bikes

At Santos Bikes I was responsible for most of the content production and concepting for about two years. My favorite part of the job was taking the beautiful bikes out for a ride to make commercial photographs. I played around with different kind of scenes and background. I mixed certain colors of the bikes with the environment that I shot in, most of which were in a 5km radius of the Santos Headquarters. In this little article I will substantiate the choices I made while shooting.

Often times, the trick was a matter of looking for those precious rays of sunlight and let them illuminate the finer details of the bike. It was in those details that customers find the reason to buy a +3000 euro bike. A 100mm Canon L series lens and the old but trustworthy Canon 5D mkii were my go to tools.
